What is the Thrive Family Membership?

The Thrive Family Membership is a support platform designed for parents of children with Intellectual Disabilities or Neurodivergence. Founded by Dr. Hannah Dennis, it aims to build a personal toolkit for parents to navigate the unique challenges they face. The membership includes weekly Zoom sessions, relaxation audio recordings, activities to enhance emotional regulation and self-esteem, a supportive community, and reflective questions.

Who leads the Thrive Family Membership?

The membership is led by Dr. Hannah Dennis, a Clinical Psychologist with 20 years of experience in intellectual disabilities and a mother of a neurodivergent household. She is the founder of HRD Consultancy and brings her professional expertise and personal experience to support members.

Who is the membership for?

The Thrive Family Membership is for: Burnt out parents of children with intellectual disabilities or neurodivergence. Overwhelmed parents who are looking for solutions to improve their family life. Sleep-deprived parents who are fed up of feeling isolated and worrying alone. Parents and caregivers looking to up their game and ensure that they’re giving the very best to their children.  

What does the membership include?

Weekly zoom sessions focused on your own wellbeing, so that you can recharge and refresh to better support your child. Relaxation audio recordings to help parents unwind. Activities designed for parents and their children to work on together, focusing on emotional regulation or self-esteem.Access to a supportive community of like-minded parents. Reflective questions to help parents think through their responses to challenges.

How much does the membership cost?

The investment for the membership is £20. That is, a membership that offers valuable support and resources for less than the cost of a weekly fancy coffee.

What happens after I sign up?

After signing up, you'll receive an email with login instructions for the online community. This is where you'll be able to access previous recordings, activities to promote emotional regulation and the self-esteem of your child. It is also where you can connect with others in the community. You're encouraged to log in, introduce yourself. You'll also receive weekly emails detailing upcoming Zoom calls, tips and encouragements.

Can the membership help me if I feel isolated or overwhelmed?

Absolutely. The Thrive Family Membership is designed to reduce feelings of isolation by connecting you with a community facing similar challenges and providing professional support to manage overwhelming emotions and situations.
